Experts confirm animals at Kyiv zoo were poisoned

Experts have confirmed the presences of poisons in the bodies of animals that did recently at Kyiv zoo, the press service of the zoo reported on Wednesday, June 3.

"Yesterday specialists of the physiology department, who were present during an autopsy, confirmed the presence of toxins that damaged the organs of an elephant and a female camel. The autopsy, conducted by zoo specialists, also showed massive hemorrhaging in the body of a bison, the reason of which could be the acute form of intoxication by an unknown poison," reads a report by the press service.

The press service of the zoo also said that samples of tissues of the bison were transferred for a toxicochemical and histological examination.
