Georgia thanks Ukraine for statements in support of its territorial integrity

Georgia has expressed gratitude to Ukraine's leadership for their statements concerning Georgian territorial integrity.

"I would like to thank Ukrainian President [Viktor Yanukovych] and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko for the statements they recently made with regard to Georgia's territorial integrity," Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said at a briefing after talks held with Ukraine's foreign minister in Kyiv on Thursday.

He noted that this step by Ukraine once again confirmed its stabilizing role in the region and the fact "that the country stands watch over international law."
