It's the bubbles of nothing that make the annual bubble parade on the Arbat really something.
Traditionally held on the first Sunday in April, as of last year the bubble procession shifted to one week later.
"We decided all the same to change the date to April 11," said the organisers in a statement.
"It will be a little warmer still."
The parade, which started out as a flash mob gathering, attracts thousands of participants, including children. Besides bringing bubble wands, many prepare for the parade with carnival costumes and even stilts.
Numerous social networking sites have bubble communities where details such as best bubble mixtures are discussed.
Local bubbleologists recommend a mixture of 600 millilitres of water, 200 millilitres of dish washing detergent and 100 millilitres of glycerine for round, healthy globes.
