Yanukovych Goes To United States For Nuclear Security Summit

KIEV, Ukraine -- President Viktor Yanukovych went to the United States of America on a working visit to take part in the Nuclear Security Summit, held on April 12 and 13 in Washington, D.C.
Yanukovych will take part in plenary sessions and separate meetings of heads of states.

This summit is devoted to suppressing the threat of atomic terrorism and ensuring control over nuclear materials that may be used to make nuclear explosion devices.

In course of this summit Ukraine will take part in formation of a global action strategy in the sphere of nuclear security.

Apart from this, during the summit Ukraine will have an ability of raising the question of the need to fill with money the Chornobyl fund Shelter and nuclear security accounts to realise projects finance from international technical aid.

Also the president in course of the visit will talk to the leadership of the International Monetary Fund and of the World Bank to resume active cooperation with these organisations.

The head of state is planned to meet representatives of American business circles and U.S. political elite during his stay in the United States.

Yanukovych is scheduled to have a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama.
