Odesa Maritime Merchant Port chief arrested

Simferopol, July 22 (Ukraine) – The head of the State Enterprise Odesa Maritime Merchant Port was detained on Friday, a measure of restraint is currently being chosen for him, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Crimea reported.

The Crimean Prosecutor's Office is investigating a criminal case against the seaport's chief on charge of abuse of authority or office (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code).

"This official, through abusing his office, illegally spent more than Hr 170,000 in the interests of a commercial structure on repairs to the Odesa Hotel," the press service said.
