Farmers markets coming to Moscow

This weekend discerning shoppers can browse through more than 125 farmers’ markets in Moscow.

Across the whole city about 7,000 trading pitches have been made available following improved health controls and better organization.

And the raft of new markets will be in business until the start of November as the city looks to encourage alternatives to the largely destroyed kiosk culture of street trading which Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has vowed to eliminate.
