Russia Moves towards Full Ban on Tobacco Ads

The new legislation, which was later signed in April, allows Russia to ratify the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, which calls all signatories to undertake a comprehensive ban on all tobacco advertising, promotion and tobacco companies' sponsorship of events within five years of signing.
