KIEV, Ukraine -- Ukraine will intensify efforts to join the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan in 2013, the Ukrainian government authorized representative for cooperation with Russia and other members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Valery Muntiyan, says.
According to the official, a special team will be established soon to draft a corresponding agreement.
He also said in the same year the country is eager to sign an agreement with the EU in order to become an associate member of the body, as European integration remains the country's top priority.
